  • Latest courses lists here are for Spring 2017 and Fall semester 2016 for exchange students (undergraduate). We released them for  prospective exchange students to reference. The lists are subject to change due to inevitable reasons without notice. Courses lists for fall semester 2017  for exchange students will be released just before new semester start.

    Your course will be decided after your enrollment. You cannot decide before enrollment. Please be understanding of our course registration process before you apply to Faculty of Science and Engineering.

Note : course registration for exchange Students (Graduate/Master’s program)

Exchange students are allowed to take the courses which they have been given permission to take. The courses must be chosen from those offered by the Department you are to enroll in.We cannot always offer courses taught in English.  In some Departments, only courses taught in Japanese are offered. Before course registration, you are required to talk with and obtain consent of your academic supervisor on what courses you are going to register.
We cannot offer course lists for exchange student before you apply.If you need to know what course you can register from your department, please ask your prospective supervisor respectively by yourself accordingly.

Doctral Students regular students

* Contents below is only applicable for students who enrolled in Doctoral program after 2017.(For on and before 2016 student’s contents follows.)

Important Note !

New student enroll in 2017 fall required to refer your enrollment year’s HANDBOOK.

Current Student enroll in 2017 spring required to refer “Supplementary Handbook about Credit System for Doctoral Students of International Program in Science and Engineering  Waseda University“.

There are coexists that class conducted in Japanese and conducted in English.Please be careful to do not register class conducted in Japanese if your language is English.

☆Regarding “Research Ethics”☆
To doctoral students those who are admitted on and before 2016

1) If you wish to take the lecture course on “Nishi-Waseda” (Available only to doctoral students) please register for “Research Ethics A” or “Research Ethics B” offered by the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

2) If you wish to take the course “on demand”
The ways to search differs according to each department. Please refer to Syllubus and register through MyWaseda. If you don’t find how to register through MyWaseda visit Academic & Student Affairs Section during Consultation service for course registration period. You have specific course registration period and this period is same as (Appendix1)Registration Schedule Table for Fall Semester 2017.

【System for Students who Study Abroad】 
Intermission (Study Leave)

After you start your course, you may choose participation in a summer school or study abroad.  In order to defer your studies halfway through, you are required to apply for intermission during the allotted time period. After returning from study leave, you may take the course by applying for resumption during the allotted time period. This is applicable for semester and full-year courses.

【System for Students who Study Abroad】 
Extra Course Registration for those returning from studying abroad 
(“Extra Course Registration”)

“Extra Course Registration” refers to the system that enables students to newly take courses offered in the summer or the winter quarter or intensive courses during the spring or summer vacation, when they return to Japan from studying abroad.

◆The system called “Extra Course Registration” applies to students who are on exchange program, Double Degree Program, or CS(customized study) Program, or privately financed students, who study abroad with their private fund.
