The GMP (Global Management Program) Zemi Welcome Meeting for the 2025 academic year was held on Tuesday, November 18, from 6:55 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. in Room 505 of Building 11. The event was organized to welcome the fifth cohort of students who will join the program in the 2026 academic year. The meeting featured an introduction to GMP, messages from faculty members and the Student Committee (SC) chair, English learning guidance, and recreational activities designed to encourage interaction beyond participants’ own zemis.

The event opened with remarks from Professor Nakaide, Program Director of the GMP, who spoke about one of the key strengths of the GMP: the opportunity to engage in global learning that extends beyond the boundaries of individual zemis.

This was followed by a detailed presentation from Mizuki Ueda, Chair of the SC, who introduced the overall structure of the GMP, its specific activities, and the type of professionals the program aims to cultivate.

In addition, Professor Morita from the English faculty provided guidance on how students should approach their studies in Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing in preparation for joining the GMP in the next academic year.

In the latter half of the meeting, an SC-organized recreational session brought together participants from different zemis and year levels. Team-based activities, including a Kahoot quiz and a gesture game, helped participants interact with one another and experience the collaborative atmosphere of the GMP firsthand.

Overall, the meeting proved to be a highly meaningful opportunity for the incoming students to deepen their understanding of GMP activities planned for the coming year and to increase their motivation for future involvement in the program.
