The course “Organizational Strategies of Japanese Companies in Thailand and ASEAN” at Sasin School of Management offered a unique combination of practical business insights and cultural exposure. Presentations and discussions with representatives from well-known organizations including Yamaha Motor, the Board of Investment Thailand, and Aisin provided direct perspectives on regional business strategies and the challenges of operating in a cross-cultural environment. A visit to Aisin’s factory brought these concepts to life, demonstrating how organizational strategies are implemented in real settings. Experiencing Thailand firsthand also revealed how local customs, and social practices influence organizational behavior, underscoring the importance of understanding cultural context in global business.
