「パワー・エネルギー・プロフェッショナル（PEP）育成プログラム」は文科省卓越大学院プログラムの採択（平成30[2018]年度）を受け、「電力・エネルギー新産業創出に挑むための総合的な課題解決力を有する人材の輩出」をめざし設置された5年一貫の博士人材育成プログラムです。

2024年度の文科省補助事業終了に伴い実施された事後評価では、最高評価の「S」を獲得した社会的評価の高いプログラムです。
補助事業終了後の2025年度以降もこれまでに培われた実績を継承し、早稲田大学を含む国公私立13連携大学による自走化プログラムとして継続します。

“Power Energy Professionals (PEP) Program”, adopted as MEXT WISE Program (Doctoral Program for World-leading Innovative & Smart Education) in AY2018, is a five-year integrated professional doctoral program, we aim to foster human resources with excellent comprehensive problem-solving skills who can lead the creation of new power/energy industries.

This program has obtained high social evaluation with the highest evaluation “S” in the post-implementation review conducted at the end of MEXT subsidy period in AY2024. After the completion of the subsidy period from AY2025, the program continues as a self-sustaining program involving 13 partner universities including Waseda University, building on the achievements made to date.

• Financial support
  A framework of financial support is provided to support ongoing research activities while enrolled in the PEP, centering on the provision of RA expenses (Research Assistant).

  ▪Full support for expenses (travel expenses, etc.) to take PEP compulsory courses
  ▪Long-term overseas dispatch system (selection-based) available

• Educational and human networks that transcend the boundaries of universities
  After completion of the program, students will be awarded a “Certificate of PEP Graduate Program Excellence” by fulfilling the requirements for completion of this program, in addition to completing the course of study and completion of their home majors, featuring joint education by 13 national, public and private partner universities, including Waseda University.
  Through cooperation with 13 universities*, companies, and research institutions, PEP students have established a broad human network that extends beyond the boundaries of their home majors and their activities are diverse.

  以下研究科・専攻の正規学生として在学中の方、入学試験に出願した方が対象となります。

  The Selection Examination for Entrance/Program Entrance (SE) is divided into 13 categories according to when you wish to enter PEP and when you will be admitted to your major.
