Building on knowledge gained from studying abroad, and continuing to deepen knowledge
This semester, my choices in classes were largely influenced by the new interests I picked up during my study abroad and my past experiences through volunteer activities. During my study abroad, I took some classes in political philosophy where I became interested in the field. After I returned to Japan, I also took classes in modern and Japanese philosophy to deepen my understanding. Returning from Spain, I also felt that maintaining my Spanish level was important so I took a Spanish language class where I could focus on reading and writing. As my advanced seminar class is on media, I took a class in media history to deepen my understanding. As a volunteer off-campus, I organize events for people to better understand what our environment faces today. Through such experiences, I decided to take classes to help me better understand what our environment faces today on a more academic level. I make sure to keep my mornings open to spend time on my hobbies, such as yoga.
