Martin Reeves: Your Strategy Needs a Strategy – How to Choose and Execute the Right Approach
“Executives are bombarded with bestselling ideas and best practices for achieving competitive advantage, but sometimes these ideas and practices contradict each other. Should you aim to be big or fast? Should you create a blue ocean, be adaptive, play to win – or forget about a sustainable competitive advantage altogether? In a business environment that is changing faster and becoming more uncertain and complex almost by the day, it’s never been more important – or more difficult – to choose the right approach to strategy.”
“Your Strategy Needs a Strategy (June 2015)” by The Boston Consulting Group offers a groundbreaking method to determine the strategy approach that is best for your company by breaking down existing approaches into five categories.
On the occasion of coauthor, Martin Reeves’ Japan visit to mark the release of the Japanese version (Nikkei Publishing Inc.), BCG and Waseda Business School will co-host a seminar.
The seminar will touch upon how to assess your business environment, what the different strategies are, how to match your strategy to your environment, things to keep in mind when building and executing a strategy, and how to manage multiple strategies. The panel discussion will be moderated by Prof. Jusuke Ikegami and welcome one of BCG’s partners in Japan.
