3. Eligibility & Requirements

Eligibility:

In principle, applicants must fulfill one of the following requirements by the time applicants wish to enroll.

  • Completed or are scheduled to complete 16 years of formal education outside Japan.
  • Received or are expected to receive a degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from a university or other school outside of Japan by completing a course of study lasting three years or more.

  • GMAT or GRE scores
  • English Language Proficiency Score (TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC)

Application for Family Business Successors Track:

  • Pre-screening Form (to verify business eligibility)
  • English Language Proficiency Score(TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC)

  • Three Letters of Recommendation
  • GMAT or GRE scores are optional for this track

There are no minimum score requirements for the GPA, GMAT/GRE, or English proficiency tests.
All applications with submitted scores will be accepted for review.

Our admissions committee conducts a holistic evaluation, carefully considering every component of your application to assess your true potential.

Evaluation will be based primarily on document screening. However, to verify information or gain additional insights, the School may conduct an online interview. Only selected applicants will be contacted, and being asked (or not asked) to interview has no bearing on the final result.

After document screening, shortlisted applicants will be invited to an in-person interview, which will be conducted at the Waseda Campus (Tokyo, Japan).

5. Application Process

How to Apply:

The entire application and document submission process is conducted online through “The Admission Office” (TAO) system.
There is no need to mail any physical documents.

  1. Create & Log In: Set up your account on the TAO portal: https://admissions-office.net/en/portal
  2. Pay the Fee: Complete the screening fee payment.
  3. Enter Details & Essays: Fill out all required information and complete your essays.
  4. Upload & Submit: Upload all required documents, including your screening fee receipt, and submit.
