Profile
Professor Hasegawa is one of the leading professors in Japan of entrepreneurship, growth strategy, creation of sustainable businesses, and family businesses. Before joining WASEDA Business School in 2012, he worked as a venture capitalist (25 years), securities analyst and strategy consultant (10 years), and as a visiting professor in the MBA courses of many universities (12 years). He is a co-founding partner of Global Venture Capital, Japan’s Independent and highest performance VC, he analyzed investment strategy and provided management consulting services to portfolio companies for JAFCO, Japan ‘s largest venture capital company. As a securities analyst at Nomura Research Institute from 1984 until 1993 prior to joining JAFCO.He takes office as the chairperson of many committees which Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications host. In addition, he served the adviser for the Minister of Economy Trade and Industry.
