Profile

Since 1972 Prof. Mano has enjoyed a long and fruitful career leading research projects sponsored by Japanese industry. His research examines the policy choices that mature economies such as Japan, the United States and Western Europe must consider as modern industrial structures continue to morph at accelerating rates. He welcomes students who have the courage to see the world as it is and then design and evaluate policy proposals that can help mature economies to realize their full innovative potential.
