OZAKI Hiroyuki, Professor, Institute for Business and Finance

Profile

After graduated from a college, Dr. Ozaki had held executive positions in corporate finance and asset management at Nomura Securities, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs for 17 years. Subsequently he involved in launching startup companies, achieving multiple exits through IPOs and M&As.

While serving as a professor at Tokyo University of Technology and Kobe University for 20 years, he conducted research and provided management support for startups in biotech, IT, and energy sectors.

Dr. Ozaki is serving as a committee member for national strategy formulation and evaluation of fusion energy and nuclear energy at the Cabinet Office and Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. He is supporting university-based startups through public organizations such as New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Aichi Prefecture, Okinawa Prefecture, and Kobe City.
