-He graduated from Waseda university’s undergraduate and master’s degree programs, entering the doctoral program.
He has been researching human interactions within the workplace, the connections that arise there, and their effect on collective achievements. He aims to be a professor, a business school professor, or a consultant in private companies in the future.

The Allure of Crafting Knowledge That Influences Society
With a feeling that I hadn’t yet fully completed my research, I decided to pursue further studies.
Whilst I was still studying in the master’s program, I was partaking in job hunting activities and had already received job offers. However, I had the feeling that I hadn’t fully completed my research and wished to further my achievements as a researcher, thus I decided to pursue further studies in the Doctoral program. From my experience with interacting with businesses and businesspersons throughout the years of internship, I had come to know more about the corporate environment and felt my passion to research growing further. And, as an option for my future and career, I saw that attaining my doctorate was a must if I were to pursue becoming a professor at a university. I am also considering my other career options besides that of a professor, such as a consultant for private companies and a human resources specialist.

When my theory and the real world connects, the world in which I live expands.
My research topic focuses on human interactions and actions within the workplace, how connections arise from these interactions, and the effect on collective achievements, using data from communication tools such as ‘Slack’ and ‘Microsoft Teams’.
In this research, we have found interesting results, such as the idea that collecting information from team members and processing this information can pose difficult situations and lead to a decrease in team creativity. Other than that, I am involved in helping companies, regardless of size and sector, with the help of my professor, to better their working environments through research and the studies conducted. Through these experiences, the connection between my theory and reality becomes clearer, and the enjoyment of research lies in the idea that I am expanding my understanding of the world where we live.

A place in where one grows from learner of knowledge to learning to be the producer of knowledge
When one enters the doctoral program, there is more emphasis placed on outputs than before, such as presentations and writing papers, as opposed to just inputs like studying (of course, studying is necessary too, and I do). In other words, in the doctoral program, one transforms from being the learner of knowledge to gaining experience and becoming the producer of knowledge. Apart from producing knowledge, spreading knowledge and applying it is also important and something that is very meaningful to society.
The environment for the doctoral program is very supportive and well-equipped. My professor has supported me greatly, both mentally and financially. He has been very supportive and allows for consultations, helping me out financially by hiring me as a research assistant. For this, I am truly grateful.
From now on, I wish to cherish the connections that have led me to this world of research, and I hope to continue communicating the value and appeal of research and graduate studies.
