“JST-CREST 126 Distribution Feeder Model” is published.

ACROSS (Advanced Collaborative Research Organization for Smart Society), Waseda University, developed a benchmark of distribution network model with the Tokyo Electric Power Company, Inc., the Chubu Electric Power Company, Inc. and the Kansai Electric Power Company, Inc.. Based on real data of 126 distribution feeders provided by the three companies, Waseda University constructed a substation-scale virtual distribution network model. For the application, please send the signed consent letter for the JST-CREST126 distribution feeder model to the following email:

The data set is described as follows:

•trans.csv

This file specifies information on transformers at a substation. Each line includes:
Node name, Trans. name, Capacity [MVA], %R, %X, Primary voltage [kV]

•switch.csv

This file specifies locations and on/off states of sectionalizing switches. Each line includes:
Node name, Switch name, On (0)/off(1) states

•hload.csv

This file specifies locations of high-voltage loads. Each line includes:
Node name, High-voltage load name

•lload.csv

This file specifies connection information of pole transformers. Each line includes:
Node name, Pole trans. name, Primary tap voltage of pole trans. [V], Connection phase

•node.csv

This file specifies information on latitude and longitude of high-voltage nodes. Each line includes:
Node name, Latitude, Longitude

•line.csv

This file specifies information on distribution lines. Each line includes:
Node name, Node name, Line type, Length [m], Tie-line(0)/feeder(1)

•impedance.csv

This file specifies information on impedance of line type of distribution line. Each line includes:
Line type, R [ohm/km], L [H/km], C [micro F/km]

Note

Regarding the latitude and longitude information of “node.csv”, the connection information of sectionalizing switches between different feeders of “switch.csv”, and the connection information of the pole transformers of “lload.csv”, Waseda Univerty added the virtual information to original distribution feeder data. Especially, “node.csv” is not related to latitude and longitude of real distribution feeders.

Regarding the distribution line information of “impedance.csv”, Waseda University calculated the impedance based on “Distribution line handbook” published by the Japanese Electric Wire & Cable Makers’ Association.
