早稲田大学は、本学卒業生で米州開発銀行イノベーションラボ（IDB Lab）次長の竹内登志崇（たけうち・としたか）氏をお招きして、講演会を開催いたします。
IDB Labは、中南米・カリブ（LAC）地域の域内加盟諸国の経済・社会発展に貢献することを目的として1959年に設立された国際開発金融機関であるIDBグループのイノベーション・ラボです。中南米・カリブ（LAC）地域で社会的包摂や環境保護、生産性向上を目指す新しい方法を見つけて支援することを目的とし、資金・知識・人脈を活用したスタートアップ企業の支援、新技術の開発促進、革新的な市場や既存産業の活性化などを行っています。
今回お話しいただく竹内登志崇氏は、本学政治経済学部卒業後、Georgetown University (USA)およびComillas Pontifical University (Spain) にて修士号を取得されました。その後、海外経済協力基金（のちに国際協力機構（JICA）、国際協力銀行（JBIC）に統合）での勤務を経て、IDBグループへ入職。2018年より、現在のIDB Lab次長（プリンシパル・アドバイザー）に就任され、中南米・カリブ地域での開発事業に取り組む日本のスタートアップの発掘と支援を目的としたプロジェクト「TSUBASA」を推進されるなど、多方面にてご活躍されております。
講演会では、IDB Group（IDB、IDB Invest、IDB Lab）の紹介や、本学卒業後から国際機関勤務までの変遷、そして様々な言語（スペイン語、ポルトガル語）習得や修士課程での専門的な学びをどのようにご自身のキャリアに活かされているかなどをお話いただきます。

講演者プロフィール
米州開発銀行イノベーション・ラボ（IDB Lab）次長 竹内登志崇氏
Toshitaka Takeuchi, a citizen of Japan, is the Principal Advisor to IDB Lab’s CEO from August 1, 2018. In his role, he is responsible for promoting innovative private sector-driven approaches to sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean region. He is leading key areas of corporate administration and oversight, including strategic enforcement and quality control of IDB Lab operations, improvement and/or adjustment on operational policies and guidelines, and support to mobilize resources from third parties.
Prior to this appointment, he was a Public-Private Partnership Specialist in the Vice Presidency for Countries, IDB. In this role, he coordinated to structure economic and social development projects for the public-private partnership facility among partners from the public and private sectors. Previously, he served as an Energy Specialist in the Infrastructure and Energy Department, IDB, where he was responsible for identifying, designing and supervising sovereign loan and technical cooperation projects with a special focus on geothermal energy development in the region.
Before joining IDB Group, he marked twenty years career development in Japanese aid agencies to developing countries; Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund, Japan (OECF), with incremental responsibility including Senior Director in the Latin America and Caribbean Department of JICA and Representative of JBIC in Brazil. He worked to extend Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) to infrastructure (water and sanitation, transportation and energy) and disaster risk management projects in the Latin America and Southeast Asia.
Toshitaka Takeuchi holds a Master’s Degree in leadership from Georgetown University (USA), a Master’s Degree in Financial Economics from Comillas Pontifical University (Spain) and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Waseda University (Japan).
