Why did you choose Waseda University?
WASEDA University is a century old heritage institute, offering excellent research facility in both science and humanity. So when I had to choose my dream university for doctoral study I had opted for WASEDA University.
Tell me your research activity
Currently I have concentrated on organic synthesis, my research plan is dealing with the total synthesis field. I am trying to finish the total synthesis of the molecule named Lycopladine H.

Hello, I am Tanima, I am from India, I was a Master’s student at IIT Hyderabad, and last year joined Waseda University for the Doctoral course. So my image of Japanese life, when I came to Japan, I really did not know anything about Japanese, so in my mind, I had a confusion whether I can survive in Japan well or not, but after I came to Japan, I have seen the people here over here in my laboratory, university, so cooperative that really help me for surviving in Japan, and they have me and show me the way how I should survive in Japan, all of them in Japan, all people are so helpful. If you also do not know any Japanese, really not any problems, people really help you and gradually you’ll learn the language and their culture everything. Other things that Japan is a very clean country is my perspective, very clean country and very peaceful country, so very nice place to survive, and also is very safe place. I walked down on the street at night twelve o’clock, because we worked at the lab whole day, and we really can’t control our time thinking I have to go back this time or not, when I finished my work maybe eleven o’clock or twelve o’clock I walk down the street, on the train one year almost, I really did not face any problems, safe place I stay alone, clean place and also the people are so cooperative, if you are alone, and first time you come into the foreign country, I think it Japan may be the one of the best choice for you. Please come to Japan.

আমি তানিমা বিশ্বাস, ওয়াসেদা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে রসায়নে গবেষণারত ছাত্রী। জাপান আধুনিক বিশ্বের প্রথম সারির দেশগুলির মাধ্যে বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তিতে অন্যতম উন্নত দেশ। ওয়াসেদা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তিক্ষেত্রে জাপানে অন্যতম অগ্রগণ্য।এই একাডেমিক প্রেক্ষাপটের পাশে জাপানের সামাজিক, সাংস্কৃতিক পরিবেশ আমার মনের উপর একটি শক্তিশালী প্রভাব বিস্তার করেছিল।আমার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় একটি ঐতিহ্যবাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, যা বর্তমান কালের সাথে তাল মিলিয়ে সামান ভাবে সময়পযোগী।
আমার মতে জাপানে উচ্চশিক্ষায় আগ্রহী ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জন্য এই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় অবশ্যই অন্যতম পচ্ছন্দের হওয়া উচিত।এখানে লাবরেটরির পরিবেশ কর্মপোযগী।সহকর্মীরা সব বিষয়ে যথাবিধ সাহায্য করে থাকে।
আমি জাপানে আমার ব্যক্তিগত ও কর্মজীবন উপভোগ করছি। এবং আমি বিদেশে পঠনপাঠনে ইচ্ছুক ছাত্রছাত্রীদের জাপানে ওয়াসেদা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে পড়তে আসার অনুরোধ জানাব।
