Research proposal by a SILS Associate Professor Satoshi Yoshida receives a grant at the Strategic Creation Research Promotion Project (PRESTO) of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). The area of strategic research is about “Function and control of fine particles in a living body.”
Prof. Yoshida proposed to identify all the genes involved in the extracellular vesicles assembly using yeast as a model system. The goal of the study is to elucidate molecular mechanisms by which small extracellular vesicles are generated. With successful research progress, we can expect for a development a novel therapeutics to prevent malignant tumor invasion and cellular senescence.
