- 講師略歴：Paul Kei Matsuda, PhD, is Professor of English and Director of Second Language Writing at Arizona State University. He has published widely on issues related to identity, language, writing, academic publishing, professional development, mentoring, and technology. He is founding chair of the Symposium on Second Language Writing, a premier international conference for second language writing research, and former President of the American Association for Applied Linguistics.
- 講演概要：In this lecture, an experienced researcher of second language writing and mentor of doctoral students and junior researchers will discuss the nature of scholarly writing and publication in the age of AI. He will begin by challenging the false binary between human and technology and propose a view of academic literacy as AI-augmented. He will then examine how AI can facilitate various intellectual functions in knowledge production within higher education, followed by an interactive discussion and demonstration of practical issues and challenges in AI use for scholarly writing and publishing
