On January 17th (Tue), 27 MBA students, Prof. Martin Dresner, and Prof. Koki Nagata from University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business visited WBS as part of their Asian Study Tour.
In the morning they visited Rakuten head office together with 15 students from WBS. In the afternoon, ’Presentation and Discussion on Japan and Walmart’ by Prof. Aiba and discussion facilitated by Prof. Iriyama were conducted at WBS.
Themes such as “What is the problem of Japanese business?”, “Is it attractive to work in Japan (or in Asian countries) as a career?” were talked about actively, and conversation between students continued even after the event.
