Waseda University, as a university with global interface, is ready to welcome excellent students and distinguished researchers who are engaged in serious learning or academic research but are facing difficulties in continuing to stay in the United States.
Waseda University offers many courses in English in both our undergraduate and graduate programs.
Undergraduate students can seek a bachelor’s degree fully in English in the fields of political science, economics, political economy, sociology, natural sciences, engineering, Japanese literature and culture, and liberal arts.
Graduate students can seek a master’s degree or doctoral degree fully in English in the fields of political science, economics, law, business administration, sociology, Asia-Pacific international relations, many fields of natural sciences and engineering, Japanese literature and culture, international communication studies, human sciences, and sport sciences.
For researchers, the Waseda Institute for Advanced Study (WIAS) has been accepting excellent young researchers since 2007. WIAS is now considering accepting distinguished researchers further advanced in their careers as well.
You do not have to have any knowledge of the Japanese language because Waseda University offers Japanese language courses from the beginning to advanced levels to help you live comfortably in Japan.
