Regarding the notes on the summer holidays

Dear Students,

The summer holidays will begin on July 31. We are sure that you are making various plans for extracurricular activities and other activities, but there has been a sharp increase in infections caused by the new variants of Covid-19, so please take the following precautions and continue your efforts to prevent infections this summer.

・Vaccination is progressing, but even after two doses of vaccination, the risk of infection does not disappear. Please continue to pay close attention to infection prevention.

・Please do not force people who have not been vaccinated to get vaccinated or discriminate against them.

・Even with thorough prevention, infection can still occur. If you are infected, please report it immediately.

・Get-togethers, drinking parties, launches, etc. are still prohibited. Please refrain from drinking on the street. We have received many complaints about the behavior of some students in the rotary in front of Takadanobaba Station and in nearby parks. We will take strict action against any behavior that deviates from good manners taking advantage of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Please maintain a high level of self-awareness as a student of Waseda University and be mindful of your surroundings.

・In principle, circle camps and expeditions involving overnight stays are prohibited.

・Please wear a mask during extracurricular activities. However, in situations where there is a risk of heat stroke, please remove your mask if necessary, and take more thorough measures such as maintaining an adequate distance, frequent ventilation and disinfection, and preventing the spread of droplets.

・During the holidays, there will be more opportunities to practice at off-campus facilities. Please make sure that all circle members are familiar with the basic rules and check items for safety measures for extracurricular activities and what to do in case of incidents or accidents.

・During the summer holidays, you may feel liberated, but please do not cause trouble by behaving in public places or making comments on social networking sites. Also, please be careful not to get into mountain accidents, water accidents, traffic accidents, etc.
