Waseda-Nanyang Double MBA Program
Learning Asia Through Two Financial Hubs
I chose the Waseda–Nanyang Double MBA because it offered a rare opportunity to live and learn in two of Asia’s leading financial and business hubs: Singapore and Tokyo. Coming from an investment banking background in Thailand, I wanted to broaden my perspective beyond technical knowledge and understand how business is shaped by culture, institutions, and local ways of thinking. Through the guidance of professors from both Waseda and Nanyang, as well as the strong support of the administrative teams, the program has provided a truly seamless and global learning experience. At WBS, I have especially enjoyed learning about the uniqueness of Japanese business, from long-term relationships and stakeholder orientation to disciplined execution and attention to detail. Living in Japan has also strengthened my cultural adaptability and helped me appreciate different approaches to leadership. For me, this journey connects finance, culture, and Asia’s future.
