【注意】中国からの留学生を狙った詐欺被害について

　最近、主に中国からの留学生に対し、中国大使館や中国公安局、出入国在留管理庁などの公的機関の職員を名乗る者から電話があり、金銭を要求される詐欺被害が報告されています。これらの電話は、実在する電話番号を偽装している場合もあります。また、やり取りの過程で、本学が発行したかのように見せかけた文書を送って不審に思わせないようにする手口も報告されています。少しでも不審に感じたら、必ず学生生活課に連絡し、真偽を確認してください。

詐欺にあわないように、日頃から次の点を心掛けてください。

[Attention] Regarding fraudulent acts targeting Chinese students

Recently, there have been reports of incidents of fraud in which individuals claiming to be associated with organizations such as the Chinese Embassy, the Chinese Ministry of Public Safety, and the Immigration Services Agency of Japan have contacted students, particularly those from China, by phone and asked for monetary payments, including reported cases of illegitimate phone numbers being disguised as legitimate ones. There have also been reports of individuals fabricating documents to make them appear as if they were issued by Waseda University in order to avoid arousing suspicion. If you have any reason to suspect fraudulent activity, please contact the Student Affairs Office to verify the authenticity of any documents.

To protect yourself from fraud, please make sure to take the following measures on a daily basis.
