Flow of use

If you will use our Seminar House, follow the steps below.

Step1.Check the some matters in advance

  • 【For all users】Notes for using facilities.
    If you violate these rules, you may be given a penalty. Please read this and follow the rules.
  • 【For all users】Considerations
    Please read this if you require considerations for reasons, such as disabilities, gender/sexuality, religion, and allergy, or if you support the person concerned. If you made a reservation, please send the following sentence to the person who will be using the seminar house.

  • 【For those who are accompanied by visitors】Qualification to use facilities
    Please read this if you are considering participation of those other than regular student and full-time faculty and staff of Waseda University, such as alumni and members of other universities.

Step2.Make a reservation

Make a reservation according to the applicable use reservation manual.

  • Available term
    Available term differ for different Seminar Houses and their annex facilities. Please make sure that the facility you are considering to use is indeed available.
  • Schedule for application
    We have a different drawing application period and first-come-first-served basis application period for each of “spring semester,” “summer,” and “fall semester.” Please check which application period is applicable now.
  • Usage fee
    Usage fee vary depending on the seminar house and their annex facilities used. Please check fees before making a reservation.

Step3.Submit the application form (Only if necessary)

Use by external users

If you are considering participation of those other regular students and full-time faculty and staff of Waseda University, such as alumni and members of other universities, you must first check the Qualification to use facilities and apply the application for external users in advance.

For use over 3 nights and 4 days

In principle, the use of the Seminar House is limited to 3 days and 2 nights, but those specifically approved by the Student Affairs Section, such as classes and activities of the athletic team, may stay for 4 days and 3 nights or more.
If you wish to stay an extra night, please apply for the use of an extra night in advance.

Application for Consideration

For those who need special consideration in using the facilities due to disabilities, sexual orientation/gender identity, religion, allergies, etc., we will consider accommodations upon prior consultation.
If you wish to request a special consideration for the use of the facilities, please submit the “Seminar House Usage Considerations Application Form” (Example) in advance, after confirming the special consideration for the use of the facilities.

Step4.Submit the list of users

Fill out the list of users and upload it from the reservation screen of MyWaseda or directly submit it at the Student Affairs Section counter.
*If you are injured while using a facility, only Waseda University students whose name is on the list shall fall within the scope of the Student Compensation System. Be sure to submit the list.

Step 5.Print the ticket

After submitting the list of users, the “Print ticket” button will be displayed at the top of the reservation details screen on the reservation screen of MyWaseda. Please print the ticket and submit it to the administrator on the day of use.

Step 6.Pay the usage fee

Procedures differ for bank transfer, salary deduction, and school expense.
Refer to the Payment method for details.

*Meals are not included in the usage fee. The meal fee shall be separately paid for in cash on site at the time of checkout.

In case of any inconsistency between the Japanese version and the English version, the Japanese version shall prevail.
