Seminar Houses shall only be used by students (full-time) and university staff members (full-time) of Waseda University.
Fixed-term professors, fixed-term associate professors, fixed-term lecturers, part-time lecturers, instructors (part-time) shall be allowed to use the facilities without being accompanied by a full-time university staff member, as long as the purpose of the use is to lead a class.
*If you are not a university staff member (full-time) and wish to use the facilities for research, please consult with us.
Those applicable to the following cases shall be allowed to use facilities only if they are accompanying a project or attending a class of Waseda University.

Students

Non-degree research students, Sponsored Non-degree Student, Sponsored Research Student, research students, auditors, special course students, special foreign trainees, Art and Architecture School of Waseda University students, Kawaguchi Art School of Waseda University students, Waseda University Junior & Senior High School students, Waseda University Honjo Senior High School students, participants of open college hosted by the Extension Center

Faculty members

Assistant professors, assistants, visiting professors, visiting associate professors, visiting lecturers, guest professors, guest associate professors, guest lecturers, special researchers, guest researchers, and relevant employees

If you are injured while using a Seminar House, you shall not fall within the scope of the Waseda University Student Compensation System. We recommend that you purchase private accident insurance, but this is not mandatory. Please make your own decision on that.

Graduates

If participating as seminar advisors or coaches for sports clubs, participation by graduates shall be allowed. Submit the application use for external users in advance.

University staff members/students, etc. of other universities

Only if participation is deemed logical in case of joint seminars with other universities or for research purposes, participation by university staff members/students, etc. of other universities may be permitted. Submit the application use for external users in advance.

Use of Seminar House annex facilities [Appended table] by registered Tomonkai members/Waseda Card holders (including individuals. Hereinafter referred to as “WUAA member”) shall be allowed as long as:
– The use does not involve spending the night.
– It is determined not to affect the use by students/university staff members.
– The purpose is education or cultural activities.
– The purpose of use is not for profit.
However, note that use by  external users shall not be accepted in summer, as it is the peak season.

1. You can inquire with the Student Affairs Section regarding facilities’ availability via telephone (03-3203-4341).
2. Applications shall be accepted from 3 weeks to 7 days before the use date (excluding the days when the Student Affairs Section is closed).
3. WUAA member who wishes to use facilities must file an application to the Student Affairs Section using the special application [Microsoft Word 2003 format] / special application [PDF format].
4. The Student Affairs Section shall check with  Alumni Affairs Section that the applicant is a registered Tomonkai member. If the applicant is an individual, the Student Affairs Section shall check that the individual is a Waseda Card holder.
5. The Student Affairs Section shall send the required documents to the applicant via email, mail, or FAX if the use is permitted.
6. The user must pay the usage fee for external users in “cash” to the Seminar House manager on the day of use.
7. Usage fee for external users shall be as follows. Half day units shall be 8:00 am to 12:30 pm and 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Facilities that use A/C or a heater may collect an A/C or heater fee in addition to the fee below.
