Sports Equipment Rental Service

Waseda University Student Affairs Section lends out sports equipment to provide everyone with opportunities to become familiar with sports.

Target

Anyone who is a student, or faculty of the University may use the library.
*When borrowing materials, we will ask for your student ID or faculty/staff ID.

Flow of use

  1. Please fill out the form below to apply.

  2. Student Affairs Section will review your application and contact you at the address you provided.
  3. Sports equipment can be rented at the Student Affairs Section Office.
  4. Please observe the rules of lending and place of use.
  5. Return the sports equipment to the Student Affairs Section Office.

Rules

Please strictly abide by the following rules.
Groups (individuals) who do not follow the rules may be banned from future use.

  • As a rule, the rental period is one week.
    *Please consult with us if you wish to borrow for a period longer than one week.
  • Apply at least 3 days (excluding holidays of Student Affairs Section) before the day you wish to borrow.
    *If there is a conflict between your requests, there is a possibility that the Student Affairs Section will not be able to lend out the sports equipment. Please submit your application well in advance.
  • Keep the number of applications to the minimum required.
    *Please consider making this service available to a larger number of students.
  • Promptly report any loss or damage during the rental period.
    *You may be asked to reimburse the actual cost.
  • Strictly adhere to the rules of the place of use.
    *Because of complaints from the neighborhood, ball game-related equipment is not loaned out for use in Toyama Park, Tsurumaki Minami Park, and other areas around campus.
  • Do not sublet loaned equipment.
  • Do not use loaned equipment for purposes other than its intended use.
  • Bibs must be washed after use before returning.

Notes

In the unlikely event that you are injured during an activity, you may be eligible for post-accident procedures if you are a compensation target of the Student Compensation System (Compensation for Injury). Please click here for details.

The Student Compensation System (Compensation for Injury) only covers activities that are approved by the University.
In addition, prior procedures are required for activities outside of school facilities.
Please refer to “0. Before promoting activities” here for details.

*If you have not completed the prior procedures, you will not be eligible for compensation.
*Even if you borrow sports equipment from the Student Affairs Section, it will not be covered if the activity is not university-approved.
