Starting in Spring 2023, upper-division (300- and 400-level major classes) Film & Television courses are no longer available to exchange students. Students are also not allowed to take courses in Retail & Consumer Science or visual communications (graphic design/illustration/typography). Exchange students are not able to take Nursing courses. Q8-2: (If yes,) please describe the requirements:: Some students must prove they have completed the required pre-requisites before enrolling in certain courses. For example, Computer Science students need to submit syllabi showing they have completed the necessary math and programming prerequisites. Engineering, Architecture/Landscape Architecture, and Art students must be pre-approved by their respective departments after nomination before applying to the University of Arizona. The University of Arizona exchange team will work with the necessary departments to help gain pre-approvals for students. For Art students, transcripts are reviewed by the department to ensure they have completed the appropriate introductory-level classes, and no portfolios have been required so far. However, Architecture/Landscape Architecture students must submit a portfolio after an initial transcript review. Some programs, such as Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Media Arts, Music, Dance, and Architecture, may require a portfolio or audition before taking advanced courses.

中期プログラム／出願上の注意ー Notes on Application to Semester Programs

留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
その他、専門演習（ゼミ）の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。

Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
