If students would like to study modules in some areas, they will be required to reach our higher language requirements of IELTS 6.5 (6.0 in each skill) / TOEFL 88 (Listening 19, Reading 20, Speaking 22 & Writing 21). Q17-2: Are there any restrictions regarding course requirements (e.g. programs not open to exchange students) or other specific information about the curriculum?
Students must come to Leeds for the full year (Semester 1 & 2) to study these subjects: Chemical and Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Studio Fine Art modules are taught in Semester 1 and the full year (Semester 1 & 2). There are no Semester 2 studio Fine Art modules. Portfolio submissions are required to study studio Fine Art modules. To study School of Design modules, students must major in Design in their degree with their home university and submit a portfolio for review. The School of Design teach the majority of their modules across the full academic year (semester 1 and 2). To study Media and Communications/Psychology modules, priority will be given to students who major in Media and Communications/Psychology in their home degree.

Information about accommodation: A place in University accommodation is guaranteed to all new international students who apply by the accommodation deadlines. Please note that only a small number of University halls of residence are located on the campus and these are in very high demand. However, all our residences are easily accessible on foot or by public transport. The different types of University accommodation available are on the accommodation website. The contract prices listed on the accommodation website are for the full academic year, but if students are studying in Leeds for a single semester they will be offered a single semester contract. The University of Leeds does not have an insurance for students to buy. Students should make their own insurance arrangements prior to travelling to the UK.   • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。
    詳細は各学部・研究科にお問い合わせください。
    Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
