Take a moment to touch and feel the vibes of craft paper in this digital age

The librarians at the Central Library have curated a collection of books on washi (traditional Japanese paper).
These books explore washi as a traditional craft, as well as its historical and cultural significance.

There is a wide variety of titles available: some books even include colorful washi samples for you to enjoy.
We invite you to pick them up and take a closer look.

We are also featuring a special exhibition of origami made with washi.
Come and experience the excellence of Japan’s papermaking techniques firsthand.

How about making your own personalized bookmark with Washi?

The library has prepared origami kits so you can easily create an original bookmark on your own.
There are two types: one that slips between the pages, and another that clips onto the book cover.

Please come to the Reference Desk and ask for one.

The Reference Desk of the Central Library is located on the 2nd floor.
Office hours:  9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Mon – Fri
