The season for “Hang out around wisdom!” has come again.

The welcome event for fresh students, Library Week, will be held for 4 weeks; October 4 – 29, 2021. We offer a wide variety of contents such as self-guided tours, exhibitions, talk events (online), concert archives (online) and more.

It’s starting to feel more like autumn every day.
Come and join us, and experience the benefits of being a Waseda University Student.

We give this special exhibition on Haruki Murakami, an alumnus of Waseda University. And also take this timely opportunity to introduce the Waseda International House of Literature (The Haruki Murakami Library)  which opens in October. Come on in and experience his literary world!

Japanese Books of the Floating World: Early Edo Period Illustrated Books

This exhibition introduces a variety of illustrations found in “books in kana” (kanazōshi) and “books of the floating world” (ukiyozōshi), focusing on the culture of publication and circulation of books in theEdo period that gave rise to the common andpopular through the elegant and beautiful.
