Science and Engineering Students’ Reading Room will cease providing services at its current location on the first floor of N Wing of Building No. 55 on January 27 (Tue.), 2026 due to construction work on the Nishi-Waseda Campus, and will resume activities at the first basement floor of Building No. 52, from March 13 (Fri.), 2026.
Closure period due to relocation: From January 28 (Wed.), 2026 to March 12 (Thu.), 2026.
We would like to ask all users to please pay attention to the following points and cooperate with us during the planned relocation.
1) Borrowing, Returning, Holding
(Borrowing)
Materials in the Students’ Reading Room can be checked out until January 27 (Tue.), 2026. Please note all materials will not be available for borrowing from January 28 (Wed.), 2026 to March 12 (Thu.), 2026 due to relocation.
When you would like to return and borrow materials of the Students’ Reading Room during the closure period, please do so at the counter of the Science and Engineering Library, other libraries or other reading rooms.
(Returning)
Due date will be set so that they do not fall during the closure period. Even during the closure period, you can return materials at the counter in the Science and Engineering Library (Bldg. No. 51, B1F) or the book-return posts.
“Return Anywhere Service” is also available as usual.
(Holding)
Please pick up materials on hold, including materials of the Students’ Reading Room that you requested before the closure period, at the counter in the Science and Engineering Library.
2) Requesting materials
During the closure period, you cannot request the materials of Science and Engineering Students’ Reading Room. If you wish to request the materials to other libraries other than Nishi-Waseda Campus, please use the request function of WINE or the library application form after 10:00 a.m. on March 13 (Fri.), 2026, when the closure period ends.
