Research Themes:
The Institute aims to conduct both quantitative and qualitative research on the following
themes, aligned with its objectives:
- Japanese-style management and corporate governance
- The role and development of effective outside directors, committees, and related governance structures
- Management of diverse stakeholders in the corporate environment
- The relationship between sustainability and corporate strategy
- Addressing social issues through corporate activities and investments
- Addressing social issues through corporate activities and investments
- The impact of sustainability on corporate value and investment returns
- Benefit corporations and their role in solving social issues
Summary of Survey/Research Activities:
The Institute’s research activities will include the following:
- Facilitating knowledge-sharing and discussions among researchers and practitioners from Japan and abroad through study groups and similar forums
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative research on governance and sustainability, focusing on specific companies or broader industry trends (including interviews and surveys with corporate leaders and department managers)
- Collaborating with leading international research institutions as needed to enhance research scope and impact
