大学概要

ブランダイス大学は、アメリカ合衆国マサチューセッツ州ウォルサム市にある私立大学。

ユダヤ教徒の出資によって1948年に設立された。ユダヤ系高等教育機関としては珍しく、宗教教育や宗教に基づいた教育を目的としない大学とされる。しかし全米、そして世界中から優秀なユダヤ系の教員や学生が集まるため、ユダヤ系以外の学生は半数以下に留まる。歴史は浅く学部のバラエティーにも欠けるがリベラルアーツを重視する優秀な高等教育機関の一つとして知られ、数多くの著名人を輩出している。近年はユダヤ系以外の留学生の受け入れを積極的にしている。 なお、大学院レベルになると「The Heller School for Social Policy and Management」は特に著名であり、社会政策学の分野でトップクラスの教育機関と評価されている。

Students may not take graduate level courses. Students must meet relevant course prerequisites as determined by Brandeis faculty. Courses in some departments, including Business, Economics, and STEM fields, are popular and may be difficult to register for.

https://www.brandeis.edu/abroad/approved-programs/exchanges/incoming-exchange/housing.html Estimates are based on choosing the All Access + 5 meal plan and living in a Ziv suite. Actual cost will vary based on housing assignment. On campus housing with a meal plan is mandatory.

https://www.brandeis.edu/abroad/docs/exchanges/factsheet.pdf Waseda students are eligible for the Toshizo Watanabe International Scholarship Program (TWISP), which covers room, board, and health insurance costs. Students will be considered for this scholarship at the time of nomination by Waseda; no additional scholarship application is required.

  • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。
    詳細は各学部・研究科にお問い合わせください。
    Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
