バークベック・カレッジは、イギリス・ロンドンのブルームスベリーに本部を置く、ロンドン大学を構成する教育・研究機関である。ただしロンドン大学を構成する他のカレッジと同様に、通常は個別の大学として扱われる。1823年に創立、1920年にロンドン大学に加盟。本校は夜間の高等教育を専門にしている数少ない教育機関である。200以上の学部、大学院レベルのプログラムをパートタイムとフルタイムで提供しており、それら殆どの授業が夜間に行われている。イギリス史上初めて労働党出身の首相となったラムゼイ・マクドナルド、ノーベル化学賞受賞者のデレック・バートン、多数の英国国会議員、政治家など、幅広い分野から多くの著名な卒業生、関係者を輩出している。

During the day students are expected to study, prepare their lectures and do their coursework. Birkbeck was historically designed to support working students, which means that most of our modules are taught in the evening between 6 - 9pm, except for some language modules which might take place on Saturday morning.

Students cannot enrol in modules outside the School of Creative Arts, Culture and Communication. A small number of modules may require the previous completion of other modules. In some exceptional cases, modules may not be made available to exchange students.

  • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。
