大学概要

マニトバ大学(マニトバだいがく、英: University of Manitoba)は、カナダ・マニトバ州のウィニペグにある大学。

1877年創立。西部カナダでは一番歴史の古い大学で、歯学部、医学部、建築学部はカナダでもトップクラスを誇る。郊外にあるフォート・ゲアリー・キャンパスとダウンタウンにあるバナタイン・キャンパスに別れている。最近は2つのキャンパスをつなぐバス、バイソン・トランジットも増えて来ている。フォート・ゲアリーは郊外の静かなキャンパスで、医学、歯学、薬学部以外の全ての学部と体育施設がある。世界中からの留学生は全大学の10%を占める。他民族がよく混じり合い差別が少ない大学。

Faculties unavailable to exchange students: Health Sciences, Music, Education, Engineering. Courses unavailable to exchange students: Computer Science, Honours courses in Psychology and English. Psychology and English courses are open to students from the 1st to 3rd year level. Our exchange program does not include our business school: I.H. Asper School of Business: Accounting and Finance, Actuarial, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Human Resources, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management

Courses can be searched by subject or keyword in the course catalog: https://umanitoba.ca/international/inbound-exchange#view-um-courses. If a student wants to take some courses in Physics, for example, they need to have all necessary education background to be eligible for. If a student wants to take mostly History courses with us on exchange, the student(s) would have to have educational background in history at Waseda. Students can enrol in courses from multiple subject areas as long as they hold the required background.

There are very limited courses available to exchange students in our Education faculty, and honours courses (4000 level) in Psychology and English are not available to exchange students. Students must have the necessary education background in order to enrol in selected courses. Computer Science courses are not open to exchange students, and Biological Sciences courses are limited.

  • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。
    詳細は各学部・研究科にお問い合わせください。
    Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
