Students must allow for a minimum of CHF 1,500 per month to cover living expenses in Switzerland, see also https://www.unibe.ch/studies/mobility/incoming/general_information/financial_matters/index_eng.html. This amount is also required to receive a student visa.

Anyone living in Switzerland must take out a Swiss health insurance by law. Exemptions are possible, if a person has a private insurance or an international student health insurance covering all necessary aspects according to Swiss law. In most cases, though, the cover private insurances offer abroad does not exactly correspond to Swiss law and hence most students need to take out an insurance. Swiss insurances are quite expensive and for this reason, we recommend international student health insurances which cost approximately 60-140 CHF per month.

Q.留学を通じて得た成果を教えてください

以前よりも人と比べることをしなくなったと思います。特にグループプレゼンの際に、初めは自分の英語力や知識の量を現地の学生と比べてしまって自信消失していましたが、今自分にできることに集中しようと考えるようになりました。英語力や知識量を急に伸ばすことはできないが、自分の持っている真面目さや計画性のある性格を活かして、時間をかけてテキストを読み込んだり、前もってコツコツ準備を進めることならできると考えました。その結果、徐々に自分自身に自信を持つことができ、プレゼンで良い評価をもらうことができるようになりました。

"Circular Economy and Policies:
→ 資源を採掘・作る・捨てるという線型経済と反対の環境問題や循環性に重きを置いた新しい経済システムについての授業でした。循環型経済の基礎的知識を得、日本とは違う企業や国際機関の取り組みを知ることができました。グループプレゼンに取り組む機会があったので英語でのプレゼン力向上にもつながりました。

migration:
→ 日本では学ぶことができる機会が少ない移民について学ぶことができ、自分の留学生としての移民経験を授業で学んだことと結びつけることができました。課題は動画づくり、知識のビジュアル化など今まで取り組んだことがないもので興味深かったです。"

    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
