Enrollment is not possible in MSU pre-professional programs (Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Genetics, Computer Science and Law). Students must take 50% of courses in the MSU College tied to the Waseda Exchange Agreement (College of Social Science and College of Arts and Letters). Please note that some colleges have limitations on course enrollment for non-degree seeking students. Most limitations come from MSU's College of Engineering, College of Law, and Eli Broad College of Business and Department of Economics. Students are expected to meet prerequisites for courses in order to enroll. We cannot guarantee any particular course.

For fall 2025 the rate for room and board for a double room in an undergraduate residence hall with silver dining plan is $6,464. The highest rate for the single room is $8,281. The rates above are based off our highest on-campus housing cost in the event the student selects a single room or is placed there due to limited double occupancy rooms available during their intended study term. Students should plan for the higher cost. This is for the semester only and does not include periods between semesters. A dining plan is required for students living on campus.     For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。
