Q22: Please provide comments or any other useful information (e.g. fact sheet URL, visa, orientation, local information) if available.
Once in France, non-EU students must enroll to the French healthcare system if they want to benefit from almost free regular medical services. This system is free of charge. For example, if a student needs to see a general doctor, the consult costs EUR25, the French healthcare system will cover 70% of this cost. The rest is to be paid by the student. They can have an insurance contracted in their home country that could cover these 30% or they can subscribe to a French one called ''mutuelle'' available in different insurance company that will reimburse the 30% the student paid, the cost of this subscritption depends on the type of coverage they want. In addition, students can benefit from free (if they enroll to the healthcare system) medical services such as general doctor consults, nurses, psychologists and gynecologists at the students health service available on different campuses. we still advise students to take out travel insurance for repatriation or hospitalization
