留学体験談 / Testimonial

Q.留学を通じて得た成果を教えてください
学習面においては、大きく2点あります。一点目に、英語力の向上です。当たり前ですが、毎日莫大な量の論文を読み、高いレベルのレクチャーを受け、自分の意見をconferenceや友人に対して、発信していくことを繰り返すことで、着実に英語力は向上したと思います。二点目に、違う視点から物事を考察する力を伸ばすことができた点です。マイノリティになることで初めて気づく視点や他言語だから注目するポイントはたくさんあります。それらについて知れたことは大きな成果の一つです。

精神面で言えば、よりオープンなマインドセットを抱くことができるようになったことが挙げられます。気さくに赤の他人に話しかけていく現地の方の姿勢に感化され、人と交流するときの障壁が軽減されたと感じます。

生活面においては、全体としての向上が見られました。完全に異なる地域で一年間くらすことは、それだけで大きな自信となり、今後新しい地域に住むことになっても、同様に適応していくことができると信じられるようになりました。

  • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。

    Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
