アテネ大学は1837年に創立されたギリシャ最古の高等教育機関である。今日では国内第2の規模を持つ総合大学で、学生数は13万人にも及ぶ。32学部を設置するほか、16の博物館、4つの附属病院、69の診療所、6つの図書館、158の研究施設を擁する。幅広い教養の修得をめざし、学部・大学院ともに学際的なカリキュラムを提供している。また、国際交流にも重点を置き、教育・研究面でのグローバル化を図っている。

A B2-level (or C1 in certain cases) knowledge of Greek language is required to attend the Greek-language lessons. The NKUA does not require specific test for B2 or C1- level language proof (in case of graduate students), but we trust that Waseda University (like other sending Universities we have cooperation agreements) will check the language knowledge according to your language qualification criteria. language knowledge should be certified by the sending University. We take the certification for granted when the responsible authorized official from the sending University signs the nomination form. Students may be advised to enroll to Greek lessons offered if their level of language knowledge is not adequate.

Normally Departments accept the inter-departmental studies. However, if the supervisor who is appointed (for every international student a supervisor is appointed and signes then the trancript of records) from the main department of studies selected, considers that the student has no background knowledge from its transcript of records to attend the Departement's course, he/she have the priviledge not to give consent.

The cost depends on what is the coverage of the insurance. A basic one may start from 30 euro/month, but it is subject to changes of the insurance policy and months of stay.   • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。

    Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
