Q.留学を通じて得た成果を教えてください

"１週間に2000~2500文字のAcademic Essayを1〜3個書くという、今までに経験したことのない課題量をオックスフォードでは与えられたのでかなり力がついた。膨大なReading List (Politicsの場合は、毎週10~20個の本)をひたすら読み漁る読書力と、essay topicに対して自分の意見を固め書き出すという作業を繰り返すことで自然とessay writing skillが身についた。また、tutorialの授業中は、教授と1対1の場合が多かったので、世界トップクラスの学者に怯まず、意義あるディスカッションをする力も身についた。
また、初めの方は、課題と、ボートクラブの練習に追われて睡眠時間や自由時間がなかなか確保できず、常に睡眠不足の状態が続いていたが、だんだんとessay writingにも慣れてきて、勉強と遊びのバランスを取るのが楽になった。

PoliticsのInternational Relations の Tutorialは全てとても興味深かった。

毎週のEssay Topicがとてもthought-provokingで、いつもessayを書くのが楽しかった。”Does realism, liberalism or the English School offer a more fruitful basis for understanding the contemporary global order ? “といったtheoreticalなトピックから、”Does Germany bear ultimate responsibility for the First World War? “と言ったopen-endedなトピックなど、毎回とても刺激的なEssay Questionが与えられた。また、３つのInternational Relationsの授業は全て同じ教授のもとでTutorialが行われ、この教授がとても面白く、話も上手で、毎回とても楽しかった。
