1955年に、キリスト教の大学を支援する財団である”The United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia”の支援のもと、台湾で初めて設立された私立大学。多くの台湾の大学が専門化教育を重視しているのに対し、東海大学では幅広い一般教育にも力を入れている。台湾で唯一の幼稚園から大学までの一貫教育を行っている。

Basically there's no any limitations in regards to the nationality of applicant. However, if the nationality of the applicants are listed below, the procedure of visa application is different from other countries' students. Afghanistan Algeria Bangladesh Bhutan Cameroon Gambia Ghana India (Identity Certificate) Iraq Nepal Niger Nigeria Pakistan Senegal Somalia Sri Lanka Syria According to the requirements of Taipei Economic and Culture representative offices in their home countries, they might need to issue Letter of Guarantee for Visa Application to the Republic of China . Currently, it will be no problem for Chinese nationality for getting visa to enter Taiwan.

Students will register for courses through our online course registration system, where professors must confirm each student's registration. Therefore, on the first day of class, students are required to attend and speak with the professors to confirm whether they are allowed to join the course. If permitted, they are welcome to enroll.

It's strongly recommended that your students purchase an insurance plan designated by your university in Japan. Even though exchange students are able to purchase Group Insurance (Foreign students health insurance) in Taiwan, the claim is not as good as the ones they purchase in their home countries. the Group Insurance (Foreign students health insurance) plan offered by Taiwanese insurance company in collaborating with Tunghai University.   • 留学が必修となっている国際教養学部の学生は、学部の許可をとった上で応募してください。
    For SILS students participation in a year-long study abroad program is part of the general degree requirements.
    Therefore, you must consult with your School Office in advance if you wish to apply to a semester program(s).
  • 通年科目が設置されている学部に属する学生が春学期留学をする場合、 科目登録ができず、帰国後の秋学期の授業を受けられない可能性があります。
    その他、専門演習(ゼミ)の登録や履修ができない等、支障が出る可能性がありますので、 所属学部・研究科に問い合わせ、よく確認の上、出願して下さい。
    If your School has year-long programs, it is essential that you consult with your School Office before applying to a seminar program(s) as there will be a possibility that you may not be able to register for courses in the second (fall) semester and/or seminars (enshu, or so-called "zemi").
  • 延長生となって中期留学プログラムに参加する場合、学費は延長生学費ではなく、所定額をお支払いいただくことになります。
    詳細は各学部・研究科にお問い合わせください。
    Students on extension (encho-sei) who participate in semester programs are required to pay the full tuition and other academic fees set by their Schools instead of the reduced fees for students on extension.You should confirm details with your School Offices.
