The Waseda University Academic Series aims to maintain and improve the academic status of Waseda University (hereinafter referred to as "the University") and provide an opportunity for the publication of high-quality academic research books.
The Waseda University Eupraxis Series (Eupraxis means "successful achievement" in Greek) is a series for cutting-edge researchers that provides an opportunity for researchers with little published experience (those who have received their doctorate within the last five years) to publish academic research papers as a single author. A system has been established whereby professional editors in the publishing department will support manuscript completion from submission to publication.
All applications must be hardcover A5 size, and details such as page count and word count are listed in the application guidelines.
In the "document review," multiple expert reviewers from both inside and outside the university will review and evaluate the manuscript and submitted documents. Expert reviewers will be selected primarily from researchers in the field of application. If the application is based on a dissertation, fairness will be ensured by excluding related parties such as supervisors.
The Publishing Department's opinion on the marketability of the publication will be added to the evaluation points from the "written review," and Executive Vice President for Cultural Affairs will make the final decision on whether to accept the proposal.
The Committee, acting in consultation with Executive Vice President for Cultural Affairs, will deliberate on the promotion of the application of academic research papers and excellent academic research results from both within and outside the University under this system, with the aim of disseminating high-quality academic and cultural information and improving the University's academic status in the international community.
In order to realize the purpose of this system, we strongly hope for an increase in the number of applications with excellent academic research results. We ask all applicants (full-time faculty members, doctoral degree holders, researchers, etc.) (please refer to the application guidelines) to understand the purpose of this system and apply enthusiastically.
