In response to the recent trend of young people turning away from science and engineering, we cooperated with the Faculty of Science and Engineering to host the Odawara Hakubai Lions Club - Waseda University Science Contest, a science contest for junior and senior high school students in the western part of Kanagawa Prefecture, with the aim of nurturing the scientists of the future (sponsored by the Kanagawa Prefecture and Odawara City Boards of Education).
Before the contest, Waseda University will hold a campus tour and experience tour, and university faculty and researchers will be available for individual consultations. The university will also provide a research environment and other facilities as needed, providing a thorough follow-up service.
