Shirakawa City and Waseda University began an exchange in 2014 with the aim of promoting cultural exchange and spreading Waseda culture to the local community through the dissemination of student culture. To date, the city has sent a cappella club Street Corner Symphony, Waseda University Glee Club, Waseda University Mixed Chorus, Oasis, Waseda University High Society Orchestra, and others to convey the power and appeal of student clubs to local residents through concerts, dances, and workshops.
The Waseda Culture Site is operated by Cultural Affairs Division as a base for disseminating the university's cultural resources and information.
