In 1997, Kamogawa City and Waseda University signed a basic agreement regarding the reclaimed land "Futomi Boyo-no-Oka" located on the west side of JR Futomi Station, and the seminar house opened in July 2003. With the aim of returning the intellectual property of the university to the people of Kamogawa City and the surrounding areas, the university has been carrying out various events such as "Interesting Science Experiment Classes" for elementary school students in the Awa region, taught by faculty members of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, lectures by professors from the university, and campus tours where citizens can visit the campus in person.
The Waseda Culture Site is operated by Cultural Affairs Division as a base for disseminating the university's cultural resources and information.
