早稲田大学と米国カリフォルニア大学ロサンゼルス校との共同連携事業である柳井イニシアティブが展開する「文学ビデオ」のシリーズ第2作目となる作家の高柳誠氏とアニメーション作家の折笠良氏による『落書』が、この度アヌシー国際アニメーション映画祭Off-Limits賞に続き、2025年オタワ国際アニメーション映画祭のBest Narrative Short Award (最優秀ナラティブ作品賞)を受賞しました。この賞は短編ではグランプリに次ぎこのカテゴリーの最高賞となります。
■審査員コメント
This film immediately transported us into a story about the disintegration of language. It employs multiple techniques in the representation of a city, which becomes language and then loses it. It left us with the question – what is consciousness without language?
