The Science and Engineering Students’ Reading Room will cease providing services at the current B1F of Building No. 52 on February 3, 2023 (Fri.), and will move to the 1st floor of N Wing of Building No. 55, due to the construction of buildings on the Nishi-Waseda Campus. After the relocation, services will be available from March 15, 2023 (Wed.). We would like to ask all users to please be aware of the following points during the period from February 4, 2023 (Sat.) to March 14, 2023 (Tue.), when the reading room will be closed due to the relocation work. Thank you for your cooperation.
(1) Borrowing of Materials
Materials in the Science and Engineering Students’ Reading Room can be checked out until 20:30, February 3, 2023 (Fri.). After that, all materials will be unavailable until March 15 (Wed.), 9:00 a.m., when the room will be opened at the temporary relocation site. If you wish to check out materials from the Student Readings’ Room, please make sure to do so by 20:30 on February 3 (Fri.).
If you wish to check out materials again (i.e., check them out again after returning them once) during the relocation period, you may do so at the Science and Engineering Library, as well as at other libraries and reading rooms on any other campus.
For the hold placed on materials that are currently on loan, you will be notified by e-mail when the materials are returned during the relocation period. At that time, please come to the circulation desk of Science and Engineering Library on the B1 floor of Building No. 51 to check out the materials.
(2) Returning materials on loan
The due date for returning materials is set so that it will not fall during the period when the Students’ Reading Rooms is closed for relocation work. If you need to return materials during the period when the Students’ Reading Room is closed, such as for overdue materials, please return the materials to the Science and Engineering Library (B1F, Bldg. No. 51), return boxes, other libraries or reading rooms on campus.
(3) Interlibrary Loan
During this period, you cannot order materials from the Students’ Reading Room. If you wish to request materials from Tokorozawa Library or other libraries, please use the request function of WINE or the library application form after March 15, 2023 (Wed.) 10:00 a.m.
(4) Journals and Reference Books in the Student Reading Room
Journals and reference books in the Students’ Reading Room have been moved to the Science and Engineering Library in Bldg. 51. Please refer to the following information for details (In Japanese only. If you have any questions, please ask the library staff.)
