An exhibition has been prepared at the Central Library titled “Listen, Students! “Cheering Voices” from the Library Collection ”
Classical texts and documents are significant for the very fact of their existence. But it is the powerful words those materials contain that speak to us today.
For this exhibition, items have been selected from among those precious documentary materials, as well as items from the more familiar shelves of the library’s research collections. We have chosen these works because the power of their words reverberates in our hearts and minds. The exhibits also introduce the context and significance of those words together with the actual texts.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought great changes to our everyday lives. Perhaps you have found yourselves unable to enjoy your university student life as you would like, and we wonder if many of you are not also finding that as the days go by, it’s sometimes difficult to make progress with your research. We too have had to reconsider the ways in which the services of the library and the exhibition room are provided.
Such is the “new normal” of the lives we are all leading. Now, as the exhibition room reopens after a year-long hiatus, we present you with these cheering words of support.
