- Read & Publish
Read & Publish is a subscription license with which the institution gains access to a publisher’s subscription content, and the publisher’s Open Access publication charge (APC) is waived (or discounted) for members of the institution. - Open Access (OA)
Open Access is a publishing model which provides electronic content that readers can access at no cost. Academic journals provide “Full OA” and “Hybrid OA”. All articles are published OA in a Full OA journal. On the other hand, Hybrid OA journals allow authors to choose whether they wish to publish OA or not. - Article Processing Charge (APC)
When authors want to publish OA articles, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is required. An APC is a fee which is charged to authors to make an article available open access in a Full OA journal or Hybrid OA journal.
