Waseda University Library has been pursuing various means of maintaining and developing the scholarly information infrastructure at Waseda University, and conducted this questionnaire survey on full-time faculty members, graduate students and undergraduate students.

The result of this questionnaire survey has once again clarified the importance of the electronic journals currently supplied.
It is verified that particularly e-journals provided by Big-Deal contracts are essential for all fields as the scholarly information infrastructure to support research and education at Waseda University.(“Big-Deal” is the general term for contracts with seven major publishers: Cambridge University Press, Elsevier, Oxford University Press, SAGE, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, and Wiley.)
Waseda University Library will keep making efforts to ensure freedom in the budget in the future while maintaining the scholarly information infrastructure based on ones provided by Big-Deal in accordance with the result of this questionnaire survey.
