Issuance/Renewal procedures of the library cards for Part-time Lecturer, Guest Professor, Guest Associate Professor and Guest Assistant Professor

The library cards for part-time lecturers (including those who teach only for a semester), guest professors, guest associate professors and guest assistant professors are valid for one academic year.
Issuance / renewal procedures for 2016 library card are as follows. Required verification documents differ depending on the status and the application periods.


◆Application periods and Verification documents

A. Part-time Lecturer who falls under the following
– conducting Spring semester class(es):
Appointed Period: From April 1, 2016 through September 20, 2016
– conducting Fall semester class(es):
Appointed Period: From September 21, 2016 through March 31, 2017
– conducting Year-round class(es):
Appointed Period: From April 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017

①Issuance of new library card – For those who are going to be newly appointed from 2016 academic year

B. Guest Professor, Guest Associate Professor and Guest Lecturer

C. Those who do not have an affiliation with Waseda University in the 2016 academic year

Library cannot be used in the 2016 academic year. Issuance / renewal of the library card is not available.

*1 Employee ID of 2016 academic year may become available from the end of March if your appointment period starts from April 1. If your appointment period starts from September 21, the employee ID may become available from the middle of September.Please ask your office for the detail.
*2 Formal ID such as driver’s license, passport or alien registration card.

◆Libraries for the issuance / renewal of library card and their service hours

●Information desk of the Central Library (2F)

During break: Monday – Friday 9:30-19:00, Saturday – Sunday 10:30-16:00 Closed on March 21(holiday)
During the semester: Monday – Saturday 9:30-21:00, Sunday 10:30-16:00

●Reference desk of each campus library

Monday – Friday 9:30-16:30 Closed on March 21(holiday)
<Toyama Library, Science & Engeneering Library and Tokorazawa Library>
The library data of those who have the previous year’s library card can be renewed on the spot. The renewal of the library card itself and the issuance of new library card can be applied for, in these libraries but take for a few days.
<S.Takata Memorial Research Library>
The library data of those who have the previous year’s library card can be renewed on the spot. Please go to the Central Library for the renewal of the library card itself and the issuance of new library card.

◆Notice

    • When you apply for the new library card or renew your library card, you have to fill out and submit the “Application Form for Library Card.” The form is available at the library desks.
    • Please note that you cannot renew your library card if you have overdue book(s). Please make sure to return them before the renewal.
    • Due date of book(s) you checked out remains the same day even after completion of renewal procedure. To extend your borrowing period, please log on to ‘View Your Records’ on WINE or re-check out the book at the circulation desk. Procedure on WINE is available 5 days prior to your due date.
    • We might contact a department office you belong to for confirming your status when you apply.
